I am interested in locating a brake damper for a camptourist trailer tent, it is situated in the tow bar of the tent. When forced to brake suddenly the trailer lunges forward and jams the brakes in the on position and they will not release.  If not available, perhaps you could guide me in the right direction with seal kit details.
Look forward to any help. Dathija

We paid to have our pennine camper serviced at "The trailer Doctor" in Nottingham.

We had to have a new damper. This isn't made by pennine but by Al Ko Kober the makers of the towing and suspension gear .

It may be that you need to look at the supplier of the chasis as I suspect  it will be a separate company to trailer tent maker

Good luck

Alan

This may be useful. All the dampers have a number on them which you can google for a replacement.

SGS Engineering do lots of replacement dampers.

The draw tube runs through some plastic bushes which can swell causing the tube to stick. You can ream them to the correct size with a reamer. I eased mine with a half round file used very, very sparingly and judiciously.

As a result my damper was OK.
