Hi thankyou everyone for your replies. Jackie as for a a good but quiet campsite near to Brook, I have to admit that I have only stayed at 3 sites on the island. Go to camp site search and read reviews for the following sites,
THE ORCHARDS- stayed there once, nice site in Newbridge, Fairly quiet very clean, indoor swimming pool, games room and TV room. And aprox 4 miles from Brook.
GRANGE FARM, Brighstone Bay- small working farm on the cliff top at Brighstone, nice and quiet, however when the wind is blowing it can be very cold. Also there is no protection for tents when wind blows off the sea. But in warm settled weather this site is really nice. Aprox 4 miles.
Dont know how far away from Brook you want to stay but my favourite site on the island is Appuldurcombe Gardens. about 12 miles away. It sits in the shadow of the ruins Appuldurcombe House is steeped in History and has been featured on the programme Most Haunted.
Hope you enjoy your stay on the island. Dont know weather you are using tent, FC or trailer tent but if you are travelling with red funnel and you are towing a FC, dont book it in as medium or large trailer but as a caravan, for some reason you can get a cheaper price as a caravan on line.
------------- On the other hand you have different fingers.
