Hi, just wondering if anyone knows if its at all possible to bring my faded conway cruiser canvas back to something that dont resemble the colour of a "faded dog poo bin".

it was once a glorious maroon but now is starting to fade. i was wondering if any of my thoughts had been tried and what the outcome was?

1. mix a bucket of cold water dye and lightly paint it on, then would i have to re- waterproof it? or would it reject as i waterproofed it last season.

2. as above but heat seal it (the wifes not to happy letting me loose with her hair dryer).

any ideas solutions will be most gratefully recieved, if all else fails look out for the "dog poo bin coloured conway"

Regards

The Feilders

Contact Grangers and see if they do something similar to their old Mesowax waterproof colour dye all the above you have mentioned will not work unless you are prepared to wash the whole canvas with pure soap to remove present waterproofing (NOTE PURE SOAP NOT DETERGENT)
