Have seen this on ebay but would it be suitable for a trailer tent? Currently we are planning on using an airbed with sleeping bag, pillows and duvet. BUT due to ohs back problem ( crumbling spine) I believe this may be better. Save pumping the airbed up too.
This is like one of them deja vous moments 2 plus coz I could've sworn I'd already answered THIS and then discovered I HAD......but on the equipment section so.......'ere ya go again
And I said..........
Blimey 2plus....I'd be sorely tempted to get meself one for our tin tent small double bed at that price!!!
We've got one on our bed at home and wouldn't be without it, but sadly the bed in our tin tent is bl**dy agony for me with my back and other probs, so last year tried out just using a single summer duvet under the sheet to see if that made it more comfy but it didn't really help.
Mind you at that price on ebay.....it might even be worth buying just to get hubby to cut it down to size for our 3 foot 8 inch wide bed in Ellie
Go for it 2 plus...you, (but more so your OH), won't regret itLooks like that seller's got a decent percentage of positive feedback too, summat I always check first.
I nicked off him of dear ole Bernie, (fellow ukcs buddy), who kindly allowed me to copy into my favourites but I don't s'pose Bernie would mind who uses him?
What I wouldn't give for a decent nights kip though...fat chance with all my ailments and decrepit old bodBut....that said, the memory foam mattress topper we've got indoors, (bought from Dreams at a whopping £129 I might add), does help a weeny bit as does my memory foam pillow from ASDA. Just a bog standard shaped one not wedged or anything and only £20.
Which reminds me...IKEA have currently got their memory foam pillows complete with quilted velour removable cover for only...........SIX SQUID!!! So, if your OH needs one of them too, IKEA would be the place to go............. right now
We tried the matresses in our trailer tent for a first try weekend, and decided we wanted more comfort than the standard matresses provided by our Trigano Oceane Trailer Tent.
We did go for airbeds (very comfortable), and bought an electric pump, easy, quick and since most campings have electricity now...
Duvets and pillows we did take with us the next visit, but for us (two adults, two children) it took up to much space in the car. So we bought proper sleeping bags. Do need to bring the pillows, but they're more flexible to pack than your duvets. And the sleeping bags roll up real smal in the provided sleeping bag sacks!
Although our Pullman has sprung mattresses, we found them not very comfortable (and hard on my back) so we paid out for two custom-sized memory foam mattress toppers, which has made a big difference in comfort and well worth the money. We just leave them strapped to the mattresses during the season, the Pullman still folds up fine, and cover both the topper and the mattress with a fitted sheet. Out of season we put the toppers in the attic. We are considering buying a third topper for the dinette/bed, which is also fairly uncomfortable, but then I'm not sure where we would stow it. It might be possible to also strap it onto one of the beds, but I'm not sure if that would introduce too much thickness for the bed to fold properly.
