Having upgraded to a new pathfinder from a conway tardis, have a problem with what type of aerial and fixing to use,as the one i have fitted onto brackets on the solid roof.Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks John.
I had similar problem with my cruiser - the a frame is under the bed so my old method of putting a pole in the jockey wheel clamp with aerial from argos (item no 535/2522)was not possible. After a fair bit of web hunting i could not find a satisfactory bracket to fit my canvas topped camper so i used a cheap rotary washing line, turn it upside-down and fixed the aerial to the pole that usually goes into the ground (which is the same sort of diameter as a normal aerial pole). The aerial is only 6 feet or so off the ground, and in the wind it needs fixing in place with guy wires(i use spare ones i got with the camper), but it can be polarised vertical or horizontal, and we have always got a perfect signal from it. High performance for low cost - my favorite sort of kit!
hi i use a bar clamped to the jockey wheel long enough to clear the bed end then clamp aerial mast to that i use clamps that bolt on from halfords hope this help
I use a cheapo satellite dish a perfect picture evey time . takes about five minutes to set up ,once you have the knack of using it.Much better than messing with aerials ,a lot more choice of programs as well.
Thanks for your usefull advice regarding aerial, will probably go with the dog spike adaptor and pole from towsure. Can't wait till easter to try out our new pathfinder, havent even been in it yet.Cheers John.
