"What's your weather like"
Our has been atrocious though it is warmer now and just a massive melt. But this afternoon we got caught in a town about 12 miles away after a horrendous shower of sleet and hail that laid a 3 inch coating of ice everywhere.
We had gone to pick up no1 daughter and grandson to visit no2 daughter about 60 miles away. So we turned back, phoned our apologies dropped No1 and chip off and started back home. We found NO traction on one hill so went back for a cup of tea and started out by a different route an hour later.
Two hours later we sat and recovered over a cup of tea, homesafe after what is normally a 20 minute journey, and recounted the idiot motorists we had experienced today. Like the Ford Focus towing a Compass caravan who insisted on following us for several miles a few feet from our rear bumper despite the solid slow moving traffic in front of us.
At one point he vanished, obviously because of a lack of traction but unfortunately he got going again and was soon up my back. Eventually he overtook on a bad bend and further up the road his caravan slid off on to the verge pulling the car with it. That ended their holiday.
Then there was 4 wheel drive man who could go faster than us lesser mortals and he eventually passed on a very bad spot causing oncoming cars to have to avoid him. Unfortunately he forgot that 4 wheel drive keeps you moving longer and faster than 2 wheels but it is stopping that is important and that is no better. He lost it completely on a bend and took a section of fence and hedge out and ended up in the field with steam gushing from his radiator.
