Hi, we have just bought a used 1980's Combi Camp Clan with add-on awning.

We are practising setting up the awning and are stuck. We may have missing pieces. We have looked at the 'Instructions' at http://combicampers.forumup.org/viewtopic.php?t=1198&mforum=combicampers but are none the wiser. It does not help that there are at least 3 different sets of labels on the poles!! Also, I can no longer feel my toes but my wife and I are still talking to each other.

1. How is the awning secured to the 3 holes in the main unit? In the hand drawn diagram horizontal poles with 'hooks' on the end (A in the diagram) go into the holes in the main unit, but these are loose and we can not see how they can be secured.

2. Our middle front apex connector (C in the diagram) is different to that in the diagram. It only has 4 connectors (two to the side, one to the rear and one to the front). There is no connector for the vertical front middle pole (F in the diagram). How does this attach - we have a pole with a straight wire on the end (as opposed to a hook).

3. We are not sure of the arrangement of the  front apex, front corner and other connectors for the two sections of awning (main and add-on). We set it up so that the second set of connectors was quite close to the front lot (about 1 m beind) and then a long pole to the holes in the main unit.

4. For the main unit, are there meant to be support for the corners. We are not sure if some of the poles in the awning bag are to be used in the main unit (the ones with white plastic U-clips on the end?

5. In the instructions it says

WALK INSIDE TO THE CENTRE FRAME SECTION OPPOSITE THE

DOOR AND GET HOLD OF EACH SIDE OF THE TWO ROOF FRAME SECTIONS AND

SLIDE UPWARDS UNTIL THE TENT CANVAS IS TIGHT, NOW SECURE THE

THUMB SCREW AND REPEAT ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE. DO NOT RAISE THE

SLIDING POLES TO A HORIZONTAL POSITION (SEE DIAGRAM).

So should these be raised so that they are not quite horizontal, or a  lot less than horizontal?

6 The add on awning has perished bits of canvas on the roof. Any idea how much it would be to replace the roof panel on the add-on awning?

7. We have a non-original inner tent for the annex but it is quite short (170cm x 170cm) and so will not fit a camp bed (around 190cm long). Can the original inners still be bought, and does anyone know the cost and dimensions?

8 What are next Saturdays winning lotto numbers

Thank you veru much for any help.

Hi airshot, sorry I can't help you as our Combicamp is a newer model. However, I am sure someone will be along soon who can help. There are loads of people in the combi camp owners group that you mention above who either have now or have had in the past older combi camp models. I hope you get it sorted!
