Just need to take your time, we store our Crusader in a garage with less that 2" each side going through the door.  Once in less than a foot each side.  Taking the unit out is easy getting her back in can be a mare!!!

thank you all we have been putting a few ideas in to practice including lining her up in the door way and reversing in with the car  SLOWLY SLOWLY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING  we have cut gaps out of the door frame to give a bit more clearance  we would not have a problem if we went away and did not come home now thats an idea 64

CANT WAIT TO TAKE HER OUT FOR THE FIRST HOLIDAY

what about an electric winch fitted to the back of the garage maybe it would then allow you  to concentrate on directing it in.

One of them cheap laser leveller things maybe? Use it to paint a line to follow ? They're about a fiver in most garages. A tip or two though. 1. Pointed them at police anything will get you arrested. 2. Winding people up by painting dots on them is great fun till you realise they can see where the beam is coming from. 3. They are really really good for putting up shelves and stuff. Whatever happens enjoy yourslef.

Why not get a couple of bits of carpet and stick them on the wall at the height of the widest bit of the caravan so if you accidentally touch the walls it won't damage the van?

Welshrover, that looks like a good bit of kit at a very good price, wish I had sen that before I invested in a hitch drive which I doubt I am going to use. Grrrrr!!!

I have got 1cm clearance to get my Pathfinder into the garage and that is with one side of the camper on wooden blocks to level it out. after a couple of heart attacks lining it up I bought a hitchdrive which gives me enough control to put the camper in very slowly and accurately.
