I put a 1" thick marine plywood board in the base to give a little more strength and rigidity to the box then used two existing pre-drilled holes in the A frame and just drilled two more so I had a total of 4 bolts securing the whole box to the frame.
I didnt need to strengthen the corners although when I do tow Iuse an additional tensioning strap around it just in case, likewise I use a similar strap around my car topbox, just in case!
If anyone is attempting this you will need to be aware of your turning circle and not to attach the box too close to the hitch for fear of hitting it with the car when on a tight turn, also leave a little room between back of box and TT to allow for the canvas to be tucked under.
If anyone wants any further help just let me know.
