Hi there

The chassis is the same as the NR Nova  (Similar to the Nimrod) we had for many years with the single pole drawbar and large wheels.Bought it in the early 1980s. Knew it was East German. The top is different, so it is not a Nova, but from a similar stable. It will tow like a dream. Does it have leaf spring suspension?

Hi ade.

Your tent is in fact a IFA CT6

Made by IFA in the DDR    (the old East Germany)

and yours seems to be missing some legs

They were badged as the following

Alpenkreuzer

Trigano

Randger & Randger GT

The chassis was very similar NR Nova and the Nimrod

it had the brakes and  leaf spring suspension from the front end of a Trabant car

(also made by IFA)

the big wheels made them very stable to tow

were fans of these tents and towed our Nimrod all over Europe without any problems

I think that we still have a handbook for your tent, if you need a copy I’ll see if we can find it for you

PS.

Faltcaravan is the German word for a caravan that folds

Thankyou SOOOOO much classic,...... we would love the hand book (if you can find it) It has now got a shiny new tonneau cover with elasticated tie-down's .....i have just got to fix the pegs all around it so we can secure the elasticated band. If you can find the handbook please call 07990606832.

kind regards ade.
