I have recently been modernising a Dandy, and wondered if any of the other owner might want to modernise thier's, so I have posted the photo's on my web site.
Looking good Gerald. What did you cover the cupboard with? I like the locker box, its a good idea - might come to you at some point for the measurements etc and get someone to make me one. How do you intend securing it on - will you fix it where the old style gas bottle clamps are?
Sorry for all the questions - but so many ideas from you that I want to do to mine!
Hi looking good, if wasn't for the fact that we are trying to sell penny I think we would have brought her up to you to do up! I just hope we can get a good price for her.
Gerald you really have the touch your work is a credit to you.i have been told part of my repair kit should be pop rivets and a rivet gun can you tell me what size rivets and the type of gun that will be best.
mike
------------- they said it couldnt be done so i left it and went camping
a bad days camping is better than a good day at work
I have a kit of rivets from Screwfix which have all the sizes for £9.99 700 in all, and arivet gun from the same place, although as I now do a lot of riveting I use a lazytong rivet gun but this cost me £29.99
You can get the lazy tong rivet gun for about £16 (£8 & £8 Postage) on ebay.
These are better than the normal gun in that they have greater power and split the rivet in 1 go, rather than you having to press and release the normal gun handles about 2 or 3 times.
