Spent last year becoming increasingly addicted, not only to camping but also to the Camping under Canvas forum which gave me such fantastic advice and a warm fuzzy glow. However, each of our 3 trips were during periods of appaling weather, so since the start of the year I have been prowling this forum and searching for a suitable trailer tent so that we can continue camping but with a bit more comfort! I duly weighed up all of your your sage and noble advice on everything from the joys of being able to store everything in the body of the tt, saving boot space, to the trauma of having to put it down wet and dry it later! 2 days ago I took delivery of a 2nd hand Trigano Oceane 315 - spent a little more than I had intended but it is immaculate with - literally - not a mark on it. Having watched and bid (and Lost!) on loads of ebay tents, this one was being sold on Preloved by friends of ours in the same village! I am keeping my fingers crossed for good weather this weekend so we can have a go at putting it up, try out the beds and start loading up all our camping gear before our first trip in May. Yippee!!!!!
Good news on your TT, Im also trawling e-bay, pre loved and generally the world. "Slight exaggeration" I have located a Trigano Chantilly which Im visiting this weekend. Its described as immaculate so I hope it lives up to its billing.
I really want to find one as good as your sounds and there appears to be a lot of poor TTs out there.
I'll keep searching, good luck with yours.
Snap. We returned to camping last year after a 22 year break. I love it but OH not as keen because of the weather last year.Everytime we camped the weather was rotten so we too decided on a TT for this year. Kept losing out on bids on ebay but then found our Cabanon Stratos TT on Preloved.
We are hoping to get some practice putting the TT up a few times before we go away at the end of May.
Let's hope we have a great summer.
I am addicted to this site. I 'dip in' twice a day, lunch time and later on in the evening. Picked up some great tips.
