Hi Terry, a tarpaulin would be ok when standing still, but not very good in towing situation, the wind would blow it alot, and if it were to rain, and there was any gaps, you could find yourself on a site with a very damp 'Dexter'.
The new cover that we had made for the 6 cost £50, which we thought very reasonable, We are going to get one for 'Drummel' for the end of the season, as ours is watertight, but also is stiff, and needs to be pulled down tight. I also like to have a tarpaulin underneath, hust in case, even though i know we don't need it.
