Pennine Pathfinder 2005.
Packed up yesterday in a downpour, had been raining all night. When we got home briefly opened up unit to drain out the little bit of standing water inside.
Now I've tried to put it up this morning to fully dry and I'm having great trouble getting the canvas to reach.
Had to lift bed ends to get it round the corners, but it still doesn't reach the 'velcro rails'
Will it stretch as it dries or just get worse?
Though of fully soaking it again but won't get dry before need to pack again
Yes, the canvas will have shrunk a bit, alas. You'll need to rewet it, stretch it out again and allow to dry in place. You don't have to do it today of course. Dry it out today to avoid the dreaded mould and do the rewetting thing next weekend if you have more time.
our TT did that after our first trip. we got caught in torrential downpours and galeforce winds at Arrochar nearly 3 years ago and the next time we put it up it had shrunk at the kitchen side. all we did was soaked a towel and placed it behind a pole where it had shrunk and the moisture from the towel went onto the canvas so when it had dried it was ok again.
Gosh - i really hadnt realised that happened - ours was brand new and has never been wet - so when we put it up this weekend it looked really loose. In a way we were hoping for rain!!! but not for today yest so it would do its thing and then have time to dry!!! But we had perfect weather all weekend!!!
