We bought one of these and it was a branded name. Be careful ours broke when being used. Quite lucky really foot went straight through, plastic breaks with very large sharp pointed edges and could have easily sliced through the leg. Yes the step was being used correctly, was new and by an average sized person, so what is the safe load of these steps?
We will not be buying a replacement!!!!

Hi Crazy cat,

 Sorry to read above, but i'm looking at ours now  (Lakeland), and it's like honeycombe underneath the top, and even the four sides for strenght.

 Had it a few years, i was 17st but now down to 14-1/2 st and used it for allsorts, if you did need one  these are o.k. .

If its one of those that has been being advertised quite a lot lately I was wondering if they were as good as they say.

Seems more likely its for a child to use though they do show an adult using it.

Hi Kimme,

Yes it is one of those advertised quite alot, and also mentioned on here. Indeed the underside of the moulding is also a honeycomb for strength and rigity. Unfortunately the construction is poor. if you buy one test it out and keep the receipt.

i got a similar one from a near by shop, it cost less than half these regularly advertised ones and has a square style backing, has had the weight of a 19 stone person on it, it's not been usd for all that long tho (about 4 months) i'll bear these posts in mind, cheers crazy cat for bringing ths to peoples attention

We use one all the time a good quality one from lakeland never had any trouble with it

we use one for the caravan and keep another in the house for changing lightbulbs etc
