Hello,

We just bought a new Cabanon Jupiter. We will use it this summer and tried to erect it today. Everything went pretty smooth so we're really looking forward to a vacation in the south of France. I would like to have some "tips and tricks" in general for our trailer tent, but more specifice about how other owners of this (or another) trailer tent go about with electrics. Is it possible to construct something similar like a caravan with solid attachments within the trailer? Where would I put those and what would you recommend?

Btw, this specific model is from 2007, I think the last year Cabanon sold the Jupiter. In Holland, they are now for sale at an interesting reduction.

Hi,nice unit!I thought about putting in a permanent electrical installation in my Conway, but it isn't worth the trouble imho. The only place to mount sockets in the cabin makes them vulnerable to damage and puts the cable to them inside the storage lockers.Perhaps do what we do which is to clip a mains unit to one of the awning poles and a 4 way extension to the kitchen. Also, make up a couple of bulkhead lights(about 3 quid from homebase)and they will attach outside of the inner tents with long pegging elastics.Let me know if you want a picture! We attached 22mm pipe clips to the mains unit and also a fluorescent on the front awning upright.Going to Scotland soon, you'll see us from miles away!

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your advice, I'll probably leave it as it is and try and stay flexible with the electrics.

Bye, Eric
