I have been thinking about parting with my lovely Cabanon Stratos - thing is, it sits there, looking all ready for action and we hardly ever use it - main holiday of course it is GREAT, but that is just ten days out of the year, my husband works a lot of weekends, and it takes just a bit too long for one night - I can't put it up on my own so I use my gorgeous guadaloupe when I go away with the girls.  But the main reason is... TEENAGERS - they just aren't as keen any more to go on holiday, other than one in the summer -

this has all led me to think that perhaps we should let it go while it is still worth the money -  talk me out of it... or into it!   We waited all those years when the kids were small (when we regularly did 3 weeks in the summer, and a week at easter and may) for something lovely to camp in, and I think we left it just a bit too late!

What do you all think a two year old Stratos DL in perfect condition is worth?

Hi jakks, sorry to hear your thinking of selling............. very few of us Stratos owners on here.  You have got to do what feels right for you.  My children are 4 and 8 so is worth it for us but can imagine that when they are teenagers they may not want to camp anymore etc.  Cabanon being a good name should fetch a reasonable price.  We haven't even used ours yet so can't comment too much yet!  We bought ours last month, it was 2 yrs old (2006 model), immaculate, with winter cover/large front storgae box/ sun shelter accessory/breathable groundsheets............. and paid £1999 for it but was at 'Caseys' so it wasn't a private buy (privately may differ?).  With all the gear and new it would have been another £1400, so we opted for a 2nd hand one.

Let me know what your plans are.  Suppose now is the time to sell before the holiday season gets into swing!

I would have loved a Stratos DL and did a lot of research - they seemed to be going for around the £2000 mark (way beyond our budget!)  for the L and more for the DL and that was back in the dark gloomy days of Jan/Feb.  I think this is a good time to sell with the occasional day of dry sunny weather getting people thinking of a summer under canvas.  Good luck whatever you decide!
