i was wondering if anybody could help me.im going away this weekend and just relised that i need to have my sat nav on in the car also the kids have there dvd plugged into the 12volt socket i have.does anybody know if i can get a double adapter so we can use them both at the same time

pls helpppppppppppppp thanks

you can get double adaptors i think we got ours from a pound shop, but halfords sell them also

You can get 3 way leads at Halfords or your local car parts outlet. May be worth trying your local £ shop.

Just be careful what you plug into the cheap ones. SatNav and DVD players will be okay but coolboxes, compressors, vacuum cleaners etc. may result in disastrous consequences

Oh dear, disastrous how? We got a pound shop one (having previously broke an expensive one by pulling a wire too hard) and was hoping to plug the cold box into it tomorrow.

I'm sure there was a thread on here a few years back from someone who had melted a Halfords one and was taking it back to complain, can't remember what the outcome was. Are they not marked with a "Max watts" figure?

The cheap ones often have very thin wire that will overheat with heavier loads. If you use it keep a watch on the adapter and cable and if it's getting hot disconnect it.
