Hello to everyone I'm new to both the forum & the world of the folding caravan. I have just bought myself a Rapido Confortmatic & wondered if anyone could give me some advice on what the best way is of opening the panoramic side panel? I have had a go today and it wont budge. I released the locating pins from the side panel & pushed down on the 4 aluminium clips on the inside. I'm guessing that it either was a bit wonky and was just extremely tight.

Hello this is my Rapido which I am going to restore to it's former glory.

It need new curtains and cushion covers inside which will bring it more up to date. The chassis has been coated in Waxoyl at some time and needs cleaning off and the chassis regalvanising. The flooring might be changed to a heavy duty vinyl which again will be more up to date. I'm not too keen on the melamine wood effect table and cooker, kind of reminds me of school dinners, this will get a more classy covering. The outside is quite good and will need a good clean and some new graphics. Jockey wheel could also do with replacing. the tyres are like new but the wheels will be paint stripped and repainted.

In my previous post I asked if anyone has opened the panel on the end of there confortmatic? I have the original sail awning for when it's open but I will have to make some poles to prop it open. Anyone know how it opens?

I've got a record=matic in pristin condition that I will be taking out his weekend for the first time since purchase last year.  I'm trying to keep it compltely original and in context regarding accessories.  OK - toilet tent may not be totally correct but did they have them then?  I have no intention (yet) of atempting the end opening.

Good luck with the restoration!

Started the big clean up & revamp today. Wheels have come up well after repainting them. I've had new curtains made with a more modern fabric & I'm just waiting for the cushion coverer to be finished. I've discovered  a tv aerial today and have plans to replace it as it looks abit manky. Also it has two brackets on the chassis whickh dont appear to do anything. One is shown in a pic, any ideas?

Yeah I would like to know how the heck you got yours on it's side on the wheels, I have the wheels and tried to get it on it's side and nearly crushed my fingers when it slipped off the wheels with my hand under it  and it hurt.  Any ideas would be fantastic thanks.  And as already has been said does the export have the panoramic side and also what do you need as I don't have any spare poles to my knowledge.  Thanks

After two years living with eloved Recordmatic I have concluded that ot does not have panoramic end,  At 8 ft wide I think it would have been too flimsy anyway.
