Nope, dropped out of DoC this year. Magazine is isn't worth having compared to what help is on here & the Yahoo group for free. No rallys I can get to this year, only one per year I could attend last 2 years so not worth the money.
They are a really nice bunch, & the rallies are really good value. It is just that we have not really been able to get the most out of membership the last few years.
We got our Dandy last Sept and went to our first DOC rally in Yorkshire at the end of May, it was just a pity it was only a weekend. They were a lovely lot of people, I think there were 29 units there.
I would love to go to Bala but as we plan to spend the first week of August up Dunbar way it's a bit far for us to go but who knows there is still time to change our minds.
Maybe next year

Perth & Angus DA is worth a look for THS on the east coast, we use Soughall Farm close to North Berwick(loads to see & do) and miles of beach for the dogs.

I,ve owned several Dandys & I cant fault them. I had to sell my designer due to a divorce which left me with 2x Discoverys. One very good & one bought as a project. The latter has,nt turned a wheel or been opened for 3yrs now & next weekend I,m gonna take a look. I,m feeling pretty confident that after a clean, mechanical check & good airing I would have no probs in hitching up & spending time away in it. I shall report my findings at a later date. If I can work out how to post photos I will at the time of opening. There you go , if anybody can say the same about any other camper , the gauntlet has been thrown. Put your camper where your mouth is .
THUMPER.

Dandy's are really easy to do up, just make sure that the material you choose inside is one you like or you'll be doing it again lol. When you start doing it up ask us questions and I'm sure you'll get lots of help!
On a side note: We've advertised Doodle as £1200 do you think this is OTT? (It's less than we paid for him in September). I've had two very cheeky people tell me they've seen Destiny's like Doodle advertised for £600 and have offered me that! Hmmm NO go and buy those then! I'm happy with Doodle so I can hang out indefinitely for a buyer, Rob will just have to adjust.
Hidihi guys, well we have done a bit of work to the dandy over the short time we have had it 4 weeks lol.
But we have jest returned from a 5 night CCC Rally and the dandy was great had it up in 12 mins, cuppa on and then it rained, but we were dry in the dandy apart from the wet tea lol.
2 couples came over to talk they both had changed from a dandy, but quess what the ladies wanted toi change back after remembering all the fun they had in there dandies.
We've just got back from a weeks holiday in our Dandy and can't believe this thread is STILL running! We both agreed this was the best holiday ever in a Dandy - the important factor being that we've now got an awning which makes a huge difference to the space/comfort factor on a longer stay. Can't believe how much interest Dandy's still create. If they've never seen one before, other campers seem fascinated and we had comments like "that's really excellent", "I was intrigued as I watched you put that up", "I'm thinking of getting one, where do I go" etc etc etc. Such a shame they aren't still being manufactured.
