the other thing to make sure is that if you have bought some replacement spring buttons, that the hole that the button pops through is big enough. ive bought some "non dealer" items in the past, but had to slightly enlarge the button holes in the frames to allow free movement of them.
please also make sure you have positioned the spring correctly, they dont just sit inside the tubes centrally,the button side sits flat against the inside of the tube, thus giving maximum springyness!!
