Can anybody tell me the best method of cleaning the dreaded bird poo of canvas???

i would make sure its dry then use a tooth brush to brush away as much dried poo as possible then just water should remove it realy

dont be tempted to use detergent would prob leave water marks when dried

Soft brush to remove dried areas, then sponge with plain water.

Detergent will damage the waterproofing and even with a soap solution you'd need to reproof that area, which leaves darker areas if you don't do the whole tent at the same time. Best to do as little as possible to canvas, really, apart from brushing and sponging.

 DO NOT REPEAT DO NOT   Let detergent anywhere near your tent if you do you will never get the canvas waterproofed again no matter how many times you rinse it if you must use something use pure soap but normally plain water is good enough. Sorry to shout but having been in the trade before I have seen so many tents ruined by detergent including the dreaded kids with bubble blowing kits be warned

 When there are kids blowing bubbles nearby our TT i ask them kindly to go else where and blow them !!!
