Just bought one and it does not have an instruction manual which isn't a massive problem. However, my girlfriend and i cannot figure out where some of the poles are supposed to go! They are the large metal ones with a screw at one end or a black tip - don't have a clue where they should be fitted but its not the sort of tent i want blowing away!

Can anyone solve this?!

Hi DC

We have Royal Avignon 6+ tunnel tent, if that is the type(ish) you have.  The metal poles are the bracers which run down each side of the tent to give it some stability.  There should be little holes and ties inside the tent at about 4ft high and the poles run thro these.  There should also be fabric sleeves which cover these poles too.  Takes a few times to get them right (we still forget what order to put them in!).  Once they are in position you gently expand the pole to tighten the tent sides and then tighten the screw to hold in place.

We have found it a great tent for family of 5 (3 teenagers) and is lovely and light.  Have taken it to France for 3 years running, and not had a problem with it, apart from dismantling the canopy when windy.
