Thanks yung but it was specifically a Sunncamp 400 I need the advice on.

I have searched omn the internet for corner steadies but can't find any that fit. The ones available will require brackets welding to the frame which to be honest I don't want to do.

I think it may be a case of having to live with the ones fitted.

The corner steadies I fitted was not specific for Conway it was universal, have a look in camping accesories shop.

I have very recently purchased 4 steadies for my Conway after talking to the man who runs the place below.. All he needs to know is the type of chassis the TT is on and hopefully he'll be able to help you out..

What are corner steadies???
Having just invested in our first trailer tent, a Cabanon Saturn, we now need to learn all the terminology!!

We've just purchased some for a Cabanon Stratos - they are strong metal brackets that wind down in each corner and help keep you level and... steady.  All caravans have them.

Has anyone found them useful in the past - only been on two trips, both on level pitches but we didn't want to get caught out in the future.

Exactly what they sound like Lindsay - the legs on the corners of the trailer part of your unit that you use the steady it when on site.  You level the unit up, then put the legs down firmly so they hold the unit stable.  Some people call them 'legs'!

Stratos - the steadies are for steadying, not levelling.  If your unit needs levelling, use blocks or ramps and chocks under the wheels to level side-to-side, and the jockey wheel to level front-to-back.  Once the trailer is level, lower the steadies to give stability.  They aren't designed to be used as jacks.

You only need to wind the legs down until you get resistance as if you wind further then you may cause damage and warping to your unit..as said before level with chocks and levellers and the corner steadies will then do their job.

Ah Legs! Now I understand! That's ok, our tt has legs already.
