Hello, here goes: -
1. What are the lengths of the 2 poles? They could be needed to help with point 2. There should be 2 short poles long enough to fit the gaps under the beds, one about 150mm longer than the other. These go inside a sleeve at the end of the sides of the awning.
2. There should be a piece of elastic cord with loops on the ends going through a hole in these pieces of PVC. The loops go onto the "buttons" that hold the cover on. One on the end of the camper, the other down the side. These should keep the PVC sheet tight & hide the gap under the beds.
3.You'll need to ensure there is no resident damp in the camper. Leave it up & ventilated as long as you can. Clean off all signs of mould with an anti fungal cleaner (or bleach solution). Check that damp has not got into any of the furnishings or woodwork. If the timber is rotted as opposed to just mouldy, it will need to be cut out & reoplaced with new. There is no other cure for rotten timber, it will only ever get worse.
When storing, use dessicant crystals in a de-humidifier. These suck moisture out of the air & will collect a large quantity of water.
All that said, you will love your Dandy. We've had ours for nearly 4 years & have been all over Europe in it. Go here for more help from like minded folk..
