Hi everyone

sadly the search facility is currently overloaded so please forgive me for starting again (I'm pretty certain somebody must have asked this before.

We are sadly selling our lovely pathfinder and getting a caravan. My only question is where is the best place to advertise it? I have put it on the free ads here and also a couple of free online sites, but no interest (though iyt has only been about 10 days) - i don't want to use ebay as there seems to have been problems in the past and the fees are astronomical.

I fear that we need to sell it this month or nobody will be interested until February.
Any tips or suggestions gratefully received.

You could try your local Pennine dealer.

They may sell it for a % cut of the price, or they may buy it from you.

Likley to get less for it than a private sale though.

The woman i bought my folding camper off (who now has a massive caravan) said she regretted selling it because there is actually a ton more space in the FC. plus whilst your camping you dont need to be constantly making beds up and down, never mind the extra eye watering petrol costs when your towing it !! and that will only get worse, have you ever known the price of fuel to come down ?? and storage ta boot. You must be absolutly loaded !

No we're not loaded - but we do have 3 kids (8, 6 and 1!) and we do have to make the middle bed up every night and we then have to go to bed too as there is nowhere to sit if we haven't put the awning up! They don't share well so we are getting a 6 berth with fixed bunks.

DH and I don't smoke, hardly drink and hardly go out - this is our "hobby" where we spend all our money (other than the kids) and our only holidays.

To be honest we love our folding camper, but it isn't working for us now we have 3 kids. We also want to be able to go away from Easter, and the one time we tried we were all just too cold. We also want to be able to use CL's for more than a few days at a time (I know we could just have a "good wash" but it isn't quite the same)

We bought it from Camping International and we will be ringing them to find out if they are interested - I have also contacted Billing Aerodrome and put an ad on Adtrader.

It is a 2006 model with awning, extension, and bike rack. So still quite expensive

Have you thought of trading it in at Camping International against a caravan?

We did, but we want a Bailey and they don't do them. The trade in value from our local dealer was very low to say the least, which is why we are trying to sell it privately. It is lovely condition but we're trying to sell it at the wrong time of year, just as fuel prices go sky high and there is a credit freeze

To be honest I don't want to part with it, but as the only other solution is to get rid of the kids, it has to be the folding camper that goes!
