i have a jamet trailer tent and the kitchen that came with it has broken stays on the legs,i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get these as spare parts or is there and alternative that i can fix on ???
thanx graham
I don't know exactly how the Jamet legs work. Are they the drop-down type with a screw in handle thingie to hold it in place? You can certainly get replacement handles.
they are drop down but not screw in....i dont know how to describe it....its like the sort of hinge/stay that you get on folding camping chairs, with the 2 bits of metal rivited in the middle and they fold together when shut....it that helps lol
We bought a Jamet Louisianna and the kitchen unit (having been stored uncovered outside for most of it's ten year life!) was suffering from a bit of rust to the underside, particularly around the legs. One of the brackets you mention was completely missing. We looked everywhere and couldn't find anything to do the job. Camperlands is the only place local to us with any connection to Jamet but they seemed reluctant to deal with any 'old banger' queries (sadly we found them completely disinterested when I rang them on a couple of occasions about different things). They also told us that Jamet won't deal with customers direct - they will only deal with Jamet dealers like Camperlands. I love our Jamet and the quality is superb but the downside is trying to source parts! I'll be watching this thread with interest incase anyone can help me too!
