Hi We have just purchased our first trailer tent. It is a Suncamp Venture. Unfortunately on the day we went to collect it it rained so the shop couldn't show us how to put it up. Can anyone give us some instructions. We are going away in 3 weeks and don't want to provide the whole site with entertainment when we can't get it up or end up rowing over it.

thanks

Hi Angela

If you contact the address below (might even be where you purchased it so apologies for that) they will be able to email you the manufacturers instructions.  Unfortunately there aren't any promo videos for it so you can't actually see it happen.  There may be someone local to you registered on here that can pop around and show you how it's done

Norwich Camping Sports & Leisure

Good luck

Yes, but they seem bizarrely coy about the Sunncamp Venture. There's not even a link on their site.

Angela,

You have joined a small and select group of sunncamp venture owners. the trick is simple open the back flap first after pulling out the back support and putting down the feet.

Then the front flap.

Then pull down the canvas and secure it under the front and back bed board.

Then secure the velco along the sides.

The awning is another story but what we do it secure the top poles to the uprights inside the tent through the holes in the canvas.build the front elevation on the ground and coonect the roof ploes .round then connect he awnining using the zips and then rise the front to stretch out the canvas.

I have never heard of another venture owner so let us know how you get on and all the best.

Hi Alan

Thank you for your reply. We took the trailer tent to Bridlington last week and arrived in pooring rain. We managed how to get the trailer up quite quickly but the awning was another matter. We didn't realise that the poles actually hooked into the ones in the trailer. For some reason we thought they must just hook round the poles. This led to poles droping on our heads until we realised where we had gone wrong. This was not helped by the rain and the mud. Mind you once everything was up we found the instructions in the drawer, typical.

I have to say that once the rain stoped we had a wonderful few days. Having previously owned 3 caravans and a couple of tents I must say we were very impressed with how much room there was, and how comfortable the venture is. We went away with our 14 month old daughter and nana. There was plenty of room and we had a bed each. We look forward to many more such holidays.
