We looked at the Trigano 575 at the now defunct Bucks Camping and were pretty impressed - it's got a lot of good features including the ability to make the bigger bed area a "private suite" according to where you put the toilet door. Also the gas bottle storage area seems easier to get to. (And the new models were cheaper than the new Pathfinders/Crusaders.)

But in the end we went for a second hand Pathfinder and are very, very happy with it. Unlike the Trigano it has a proper oven and the toilet is actually big enough to get into (try sitting on the Trigano toilet - unless you're a "size zero" you'll find you're pressing against both side walls!)

As for the Crusader/Pathfinder choice? Well, they're almost the same spec and both top of the range models. We would have bought either but happened to find the best local deal on a Pathfinder. If we'd seen a Crusader with the same extras at a better price we'd have bought that instead. They're really not different enough to worry about.

Hi all.

Just aquired a 1995 Conway Cruiser. I saved it from scrap as my uncle had acquired it to use the chassis for a trailor.

I have spent the last 2 weeks cleaning the folding camper, and with it looking in good condition, it is nearly ready to use.

I love the idea of the sliding bedding, which is no longer used on the new conways as they fold out. (Apoliges if i incorrect)

My mate had a 2006 Trigano 575. If i had to choose, Conway would win hands down.

My mate has had various problems since acquiring his folding camper 2 years ago. He had problems with cracks appearing on the front, and various problems internally.

I see that there is not much differences between the newer Conway and Pennine models except the Pennine are more of a upperclass kind, with more style than the conway. (Again, apoliges if i'm incorrect. I'm new to this! lol)

Happy Camping.

Leek - June 10
Anywhere I can when i can - July + August 10.
Tenby - September 10

Welcome to UKCS, we've just picked up our new Cruiser and it's every bit as stylish as a Pennine, but then we would say that. Can't believe a 1995 was going to be scrapped, well done for rescuing it. You'll have many happy camping trips in it, they're very comfortable and easy to put up/use. The Conways and Pennines are virtually identical, they're made in the same factory. In fact lots think that soon they'll only be the one of them.

We brought a new crusader from the NEC this year... I did go to buy the Pathfinder but was persuaded by the salesman to buy the Crusader...

Price wise it was a little cheaper and when I got it minus the heater and MP3 player I was a little disappointed. However, after camping in the Crusader you don't miss either of these two extras and in fact because one of the seats is wider than in the Pathfinder I found it really nice being able to slouch out. Furthermore, the interior material is much more to our liking, and you do get the Isabella awning and canvas in green.(apparently much more resale friendly??)
