Hi, im really hoping someone will be able to help us. we bought a 1990 conway cardinal clubman a few years ago but have never had the battery installed properly. At the moment it is run by linking it up with the grey cable that should go into the towbar. We really want to do it properly but are not sure how to begin. The camper is fully wired (well it all works) but we need to conect the battery to the switch board (i presume), could someone please tell me where their battery is and where it is wired to. How it is run at the minute we cant charge the battery up from the car when traveling or from hook up. I would be nice to get it all done properly. Man thank for your time.

Yvonne

I used to have a 1995 Cardinal. The battery was in the bedbox next to the kitchen. Haven't a clue how it was wired up, but someone will know.

Hi,

I have a 1995 Cardinal Clubman and as Caz stated, it's in the bedbox next to the kitchen. In our's we have a red and back cable running from the battery towards the wall. From memory this goes to a big block connecter with fuses which is next to the comsumer board for the 240 volt supply and next to that the battery charger. If you look at the block connecters there should be labels to show what's what. The cable should be there to connect to the battery but if not, you may need the unscrew the panel in side the bedbox to get better access. Also do you have a battery condition (volt) meter installed? If so trace the wires from that and you should get to the cables you need or at least the block connector you need to add the cable to.

Thankyou for taking the time to reply we will hopefully get the camper up at the weekend to have a try (weather permitting) Do we have to have a battery condition (volt) meter, because i dont think we have one.

Thanks again.

Yvonne
