Due to the lengthy process of erecting the whole of our Cabanon t. tent with awning i was wondering if any one has used the cabin part alone? I thought this would be a feasible option until i considered the kitchen and where to put it if you haven't got the awning? Has any one used the cabin alone?
yes we did for one night as it was peeing down when we arrived ,luckily our cab has the electrics in it so we could watch telly and make tea etc only pot noodles for tea though the kitchen bit is to big to fit in
we had a transcamper and used just the cabin loads of times. Sometimes we would pu the sun awning up and put the cooker under their or we took a pop up gazebo and put the cooker under that. It was a lot quicker than putting the awning up!!
we took our awning down on our last night in France because we had an early sailing plus it forcast rain during the night and better to get that bit away dry. had no problems at all our kitchen went under the beds we have a trigano TT
On my previous Raclet which had a huge awning we often used the trailer without the awning when taking short stopovers or if we arrived late on camp. We also bought a Sunncamp Handy Utility tent which is fab. When we changed to the Solena we didn't need to worry the main unit is up in 5 mins and the awning is only small in comparison so quick and easy to erect.
did this on our last outing, only cos it was raining when we got to our site, but the awning up the following day, would'nt like to be in it any longer to small for my liking
We have used cabin only a couple of times if we have an early start the next day with no problems. If you need a bit more room can you put a gazebo or day tent up in front of the cabin ?
We have a cabanon neptune and we done the same as pinky16 with a gazebo for the weekend was great but you can slip the cooker under the beds for storage..
------------- Does a full 140g bar of Dairy Milk count as part of my 5 a day??
