We recently went away in our TT and when we opened it up we noticed a lot of mould on it, We stupidly put it away wet on our last trip. We used 1 part Milton to 10 parts water and it came off lovely on the green areas. But on the cream areas we cannot seem to remove the horrible looking mould stains. Please can anyone advise as to what to do? I am desperate to getting it looking back to normal.
It's possible it might have permanently stained the fabric.
Phone up a couple of carpet/upholstery cleaners in your area as they should be able to assist.
As a last resort, if the marks don't come out with professional stain remover it may be possible to bleach the stain with "Prochem Oxibrite". It may take out some of the cream colour so beware!
Afterwards the area should be treated with "Prochem Clensan" (Or similar) to prevent the mould coming back and the area re-waterproofed.
As with all these things it should be tested on an inconspicuous area first!
Hi, we have used household mould and mildew remover before now on our canvas, (only on white or cream!) ! The mould goes completely, but so does the waterproofing, so you need to reproof it afterwards, but you can use a spray for both so its easy.
