We have a Trigano Cheverney TT which we used without the awning for the first time this week (we packed up the awning the night before we left while it was dry).  We understood the TT was designed to be used with or without the awning.  However, the door section was only just as long as the gap it had to fill, and billowed in the wind.  If the wind was in the right direction, it would allow rain to blow in beneath it into the cabin.

Are we missing something?

On our previous Raclet TT we had a piece of plastic skirting material that matched the tent and fitted/ hooked onto the frame at the bottom of the doorway. This worked fine. I know people who replace the back trailer board also if only using the main cabin.

PS we didn't find this until sometime after we bought the TT it was buried in the bottom of one of the storage boxes and then we thought ha haaaaaa know what that is for....

We used a Utility tent for the kitchen when using the TT for short trips as the awing was HUGE.

I used the Raclet Jade without the awning for a few days last year, without a problem, and although not strong winds, it was still blowy.     Can't ssay that we had problems with the wind blowing in.
