Hi again

I seem to be full of questions this morning! I need to buy a new ground sheet and wondered if anyone has any recommendations. I don't want breatheable as I like to have nice warm dry feet. The last one we had was a thick pvc jobbie with reinforcement running through it so that it did not rip, but when we were all muddy and the stones came up the we developed little holes and the mud oozed through (nice!) If I remember rightly we paid a lot of money for the last one about £50 (or maybe I'm just tight) and I was hoping not to have to pay as much again.

Any help would be much appreciated

We went to our local army surplus store and bought six single army groundsheets.then the oh run them under sewing machine to make up a size of approx. 4.5mt x5mt. They cost about £3 each and are rip proof,waterproof,green in color they dont even leak where they have been stitched together and they are easy to clean.I think they will last longer than our tt and tents they are so strong.

we have a breathable one at the front half and a plastic at backhalf, the only problem we have is when it rains it all collects inbetween the zipped in ground sheet and the plastic one so have to pack it up dripping wet.

 Not a lot of problem with the breatherble one...

We use a standard tarp as tigermouse said. Get one from Aldi if you can this Sunday, got one last year and theyre really good quality, strong, good size and only £5.99, they also come in different colours so you can get one to match the TT. Got one last year and it fit our awning perfect but had to dump it last month after getting flooded in wales (it stank rotten and was covered in gunk), so guess where i`ll be on Sunday!
