I have a f/c and joined the caravan club. I really don't know why! Their insurance quotes were dearer than anyone elses, their ferry crossings were dearer etc etc. Their camp sites are good but you can get privately owned sites just as good and cheaper! I thought that was the whole point of my membership?! The only thing that I get for my hard earned money is a magazine all about caravans!
Whilst I am having a whinge about the Caravan Club at high season on their sites the only pitches that are available are with hard standing-designed solely for caravans! I might as well pitch on the road-whatever happened to good old fashioned grass?!! It turns out that even caravanners do not always want these hard standings!
Apart from the magazine which I do not want I still have to find any benefit in belonging to the Club. I certainly won't be renewing my membership!
