Doing our research on camplet and combi-camp we've also come across Comanche.  Anyone got one of these - how do you find it?

We had a Comanche Montana for 8 years. They are easy to erect and easy to tow.The awning takes about an hour to put up.They are very well made and the canvas is high quality Ten Cate.To put up the main cabin, wind down the corner steadies, open the lid(which pulls the canvas with it,go inside and lock out the two arm supports ,its done. Then all you have to do is the awning.

Hi Rivadan,

we have a Comanche Compact, a well used eight-year-old trailer tent which we have owned since new. It has given us no problems, and the only attention it has required is new set of tyres last year. The canvas has held up very well, with only slight fading to roof, has never needed reproofing - no leaks...ever and nothings broken (touches wood). All the hadware, frame chassis etc are in good condition. The compact is a hard shell unit which has been stored outside year round, no worries. Having said that we have only ever owned tents before so cannot offer direct comparison to other TTs in terms of ease of use, towing or build quality (though I think the Camplets look ace). Hope this helps...

Hi Riverdan,

Had the Montana about 6 years or so, a little under used as we still do tents, being very pleased with ours, it really is good canvas

Hi,  there are number of posts, threads on the Comanche trailer tent on here.   Do a search on Comanche should bring them all up.   There are 3 pics on my gallery of my Montana if it helps.
