Now, a TT shouldn't be left packed away "wet" for long...however, what constitutes "wet"?
Our TT had some surface condensation (Morning 'dew') on it this morning when packed away, slightly damp to the touch but not "wet".
OK? Not OK?

Ill agree with the above, get it opened and aired out ASAP, I used to open up my TT every month or so in the winter when I could.

Bone dry is what you want. Anything else is wet. Mould will grow on even slightly damp canvas. TT's cost far too much to take chances on this, so get it up and drying tomorrow, or at the very latest on Saturday.

Only bone dry will do. We folded ours wet and left for 48 hours and were lucky as it had just started in odd spots on the insede to fester. Even if you open it in the rain and it stays wet it is better than leaving packed
------------- Oh am loving the tin tent after campaining against it..........I was wrong.

So...how do you get "bone dry" when the weather is like it is at the moment?
I mean it's impossible to remove all moisture as even ait contains a certain amount

So long as it's not raining, foggy or misty, open it out and it will dry in an hour or two.

Yes, agreed that air drying it won't dessicate it....but that's good, because if you did that you'd need to reweather the thing every time you used it. Just dry it out till it's as dry as possible. It certainly shouldn't feel in any way damp to the touch. At the end of the season if I'm not confident of being able to dry the canvas out properly outdoors, I take it off the framework (mine splits into three sections + sun canopy) and dry it inside.
If of course it's still raining when you get home, you should open the TT up and air it every day untill you can get it dried out. Lack of air circulation+ damp= mould.

We had to pack up this morning and a mist from off the sea started creeping over the campsite. No rain, but do you think this mist may cause dampness. Should I unfurl the tent and try to dry in on the drive?
