Hi Alison

Thanks for that, i was just worried that the Camplet would be like the old tent all wet inside, the skirt blowing about-it was terrible.Have looked at the demo video on the Camperlands website and it does look as though the skirt on the awning is quite long and the bottom of the awning flush to the floor so i'm feeling a little happier.

Think we're going to have a trip to Camperlands on Sunday to see them in the flesh-then it looks like we're going to have to save some pennies up!

Hi just to say camperlands is worth the drive from rotherham, thats where we got our TT from, if you want to look at a TT closer to home don vally have some and caravan place just down the road sell folding campers. You are all so more than welcome to come a look at ours up. (although not enough room to put awaing up) we are not far from meadowhell if that helps!

Hi Katieays

Thanks for the offer of looking at your TT we may take you up on the offer in the near future.

Am really looking forward to the trip on Sunday to actually see some Trailer Tents etc in the flesh so we can get an idea of the size  and layout, but i'm quickly coming round to the idea of the switch.

Well!

We visited Camperlands today as planned and have got to say it was well worth the trip!

Really liked the look of the Camplet-although looking at what else we could get for the money we ended up coming away with a handfull of brochures and our heads in a spin!!

We were really taken with the Triango TT's, a Triango 415 FC and the Cabanon Venus. All we've done since we got home is talk about the pro's and cons of each of the things we've seen-although i think the Camplet may have gone out of the window as saving up around £3000 (for a Triango TT or Cabanon) rather than £5000 is more appealing. We're getting a new car in the new year so we've got until after then to make up our minds-its a good job because i think it will take up until then to make a decision!

We have a Triango TT wouldn't change it for the world, well worth the money, we brought ours 2nd hand if at any point you want to come and look at ours your welcome (as long as its not raining!!!!) would mean you can look at one loaded up. and if you want you can have a play at putting it up and down see how easy it is!.

we've just sold our Camplet, and bought a caravan....It suited us to change, mainly as we wanted a seasonal pitch. The Camplet was quite a bit dearer than alot of other TT's, but in my opinion worth every penny. I know there are alot of supporters of the combi-camp, but I don't know alot about those I must confess...however, the build quality on a Camplet is excellent. You won't go far wrong with Camperlands either.

Hi folk,

We bought a Camplet Concorde earlier this year and have used it for about 8 weeks so far. (We are retired) We needed something that was light to put up and it certainly fits the bill. We have been trailer-tenters for years, graduating from a frame tent. The beds are warm and cosy, no draughts (just remind OH to zip up bed compartment if he gets up in the night. Living area is such a good size, even though there are only the two of us we like a bit of space. The little sofa on the second bed is such an innovation!

It is has proved rain and windproof ( 4 weeks of torrential rain in Ireland!). Yes it can get damp underfoot, but only in extreme conditions, but never in the bedrooms.

Kitchen is a joy, we have a three way fridge and a small electric oven/grill. If we are on a proper campsite we go electric and take a small fan heater for the chillier moments and a small catalytic gas heater when we are in a 'field'.

Incidentally despite an exellent demonstration from camperlands, it still took us a couple of goes before we got it off pat! First time it suddenly folded up and nearly took OH with it!  Just want some decent weather to appreciate it fully! One more outing before we put it away for the winter.

Have found the sun canopy quite useful for keeping rain out of the entrance.
