The water pump in our Camplet Concorde leaves a distinctive taste to the water. We have tried flushing through with things like Milton and replacing the plastic hose, all to no avail.
Has anyone else had this problem and have they overcome it?
We had that problem, don't know if it's with the water lying in the pipe overnight, so I just fill the kettle from the tap if there is one close enough or use bottled water for our coffee.

I have a photographic memory....I just can't get the lens cap off
Hiya. We had at the beginning of the year. OH could taste it, I couldn't. We thought it was the water container they provided with the camplet and because it was the first time we had used it since last year, it hadn't been rinsed out properly. Gave the container a good rinse and it seems to be fine now. Well he hasn't said anything anyway.

Personally I've never fancied drinking pumped water - how can you be sure its clean and safe? I agree that there's not much point in having a tap for cold water. We have a small container for fetching our drinking water in, and do all our washing up etc in the campsite kitchen areas.
I removed the water tank n pump from my combi too - gives me a lot more storage space and couldn't see the benefit in pumping the cold water when you still had no hot - we use two of the big Robinsons squash 3L bottles with a handle - much easier for the kids to fill
I've always used the water from the aquarollfor drinking!
I generally run a full carrier of diluted Milton through followed by a full one of fresh water at the start of the season and that usually cures any taste problem.
I'm sure the modern coloured water pipes give off more taste than the old clear ones!
My 2 gallon water carrier gives a very distinctive taste to the water, I tried milton, bleach, bicarb - nothing helped, so now I only use that water for washing/washing up and get a 4l bottle of drinking water from Sainsbury on the way and keep refilling that.
Weve had no problems with ours, we run milton through it before each initially use, we use ours to fill up kettle and to swill out last nights wine glass for breakfast OJ! Its easier than lifting the water carrier we've always stored water in a 5l container so this is much easier to fill kettle etc.
