I would love to go away in the van this week even with the bad weather but OH is making me go to Marbella instead.Never mind i will just have to make the most of it on the balcony looking at the sea with a nice cheap bottle of lager.
Well we are virtually packed and ready for the off in the morning. ( am hoping we don't get too cold (I have packed heaters, hot water bottles, duvets, blankets & plenty of warm clothes). Can't wait to sample out the folding camper for the first time. I'm so excited
Just heard it's snowing hard in Shropshire. Still most of you will probably avoid it. We're finished now for the winter. Hope you all have a great time though.
------------- What light? I'm still looking for the tunnel.
Brrrr! I don't fancy having snow, hopefully it won't get to the Wiltshire/Dorset area. Today here in Kent has been lovely and sunny a bit nippy though, but nothing a good fleece wouldn't sort out.
Snowing here In Leicestershire , just showed it to the new kitten and it ran a mile lol.

We got back from five nights at Flamingoland, on Wednesday. Not at all cold in hte FC, despite the fact that on a couple of occasions it dropped below zero at night. Yes it was cold during the day, but even if we hadn't been camping it would still have been cold. Just put the heater on. OK we didn't sit in the awning - mainly because we were out most of the day - and we still need to work in the fixings, and possible a skirt of some sort to keep out drafts from under the camper.
We were lucky because it was mainly dry where we were, and when I spoke to my brother he said that it was wet and miserable here in Liverpool.
Well we are back from our four nights away in our new to us folding camper having used it for the very first time. On the way on Wednesday we drove though areas of snow (I must admit I was beginning to panic somewhat!), well we arrived in sunshine, the rain did come later in the afternoon and did not stop until about 5ish the next morning. We were woken to a loud crashing noise about 2.30am and found that one of the supporting poles that hold the roof of the awning had come away as we had a swimming pool forming on the awning roof (part of it hung half way down into the awning - my heart sank), well we managed to push the water off and set the alarm for every hour just to check. Lucky for us it did not happen again, I don't think we had tensioned it right when we put it up. Thursday was bitterly cold, but sunny and bright, as long as you wrapped up warm you were OK. Friday was lovely and bright even warmer than the day before, we actually commented on how warm it was in the awning with the sun shinning in. Saturday was a bit showery in the morning but the heavens opened at teatime, although it was not cold. We managed to pack away this morning in the dry, the camper & awning is slightly (only just) damp so will have to dry it out completely in the next couple of days. All in all we had a pleasant few nights away and did not get cold in the camper once.
We survived the half term for a week even had ice on the awning some mornings when we got up but we were snug as a bug firsst time we camped this time of year certainly wont be the last

We went to woolacombe nort Devon for the week with 2 granchildren just used the folding camper did not bother with the awning as we would have trouble drying it at home.We used a oil filled radiator for warmth and was as snug as bugs.Had horredous rain and winds, awnings were blowing down on the caravans around us but we were dry and secure, i am glad to say the snow miss us by about 5 miles .
Our unit is a conway crusader and i am suprised how great it is,d'ont let the wife no i said that.Up till febuary last year we had a Silver Hymer 675bsl but my father inlaw had a stroke so we could no longer do long holidays,so we sold it and now we are proud owners of a folding camper.
