Hi all

I have a dandy trailer tent, (blue and white model) and my awning is very tired and it nearly blew away the other day so all my poles have bent, so does anyone know of anybody who is selling a blue and white awning.

I think Dandy Awnings are as rare as hens teeth,they can be custom made but at a price, some people use motorhome or caravan awnings have a look in the photo section here.

I am considering some kind of porch awning for the long weekends as being a couple of oldies we find the original awning a bit hard work for short trips.

Watch out which model & year you go for.  I know of at least three differnt awning designs for the same model trailer depending on the year of manufacture.  Is it a Dart, Designer Delta or Destiny?  What is the year?  Is it pale or dark blue?  They are not one size fits all I'm afraid.

Try Riva Leisure in Wigan.  They used to make the Dandys until earlier this year.  They may have some poles in stock.  Otherwise try Tent Valeting Services.  They can make all of the parts & do repairs to order, including new awnings.  Other than that it is a case of asking on message boards like here & the Dandy Owners Yahoo group & Dandy Owners Club (you may have to join to post on their site).

Look on the A frame near the hitch.  You'll find the chasis number there.  The first 2 digits are the year of manufacture.  The German stuff is the ALKO hitch info,  you are looking on the steelwork this is bolted to.  It may be quite faint.
