My Crusader is insured via the Camping And Caravanning club. Similar parameters to you and my insurance is also a similar level.

Hi Jan,  I am insured with Bakers of Cheltenham, just renewed for £90.  My trigano is probably only worth £3000, so thats what I have insured it for.  I know Pennines are worth a lot more but are they really selling for £6000? There is a top spec 2006 one on ebay with all the extras, wheel clamp and hitch lock for £6,600. I haven't bothered with equipment but how do reach the figure of £750?  for both water carriers, gas bottle, step and a few other items.  Personal can be TV,camera and one or two bits and bobs and this is usually covered in your house contents policy.  As you can see I am not really bothered about insurance but want only the FC insured for theft and accident.  Good luck with you search for a more realistic figure and only insure the unit for what it would cost you to replace because in the event of a claim I'm sure the insurance company will only pay out "Market Value".  I reduce the value of my FC every 2 years and always get a reduction in the quote.

Hi Jan,our insurance is with caravanguard and costs us £294 per year,but this includes £13000 cover for camper and contents on a new for old basis until five years old.Cover also includes,emergency accomodation expenses at £50 per day,£2,000,000 public liability and £15000 fatal injury compensation.Personally i would rather pay a bit more for the new for old option on our camper,as often the market value is less than you can replace it for.Hope this helps.Cheers John.

Hi, we have a 2000 Pathfinder insured through Towergate - £104 per annum. Thought it was good value and they seemed fairly switched on!
