At V Festival there was about 3 huge sections for tents after a long walk through the car park, but there were people with folding campers, caravans, trailer tents and motorhomes in their own section away from the tents.
There was even an old London bus which had been converted to a motorhome type thing.

i think there is a seperate part, for the more normal campers with motorhomes/vans etc...away from the masses of tents,
there most certainly is, away from the madding crowd with quite a view to boot ,

this would appeal to me/my family would love to do something like that.
We've always wanted to do Glastonbury but don't want to take the kids for fear of loosing them and haven't got anyone to have them for the weekend.
If we did then I think it would be a good idea to take a pop up tent, this way we could pack it away each day so as to stop it being pinched.
We're going with our TT . Got inspired last year watching breakfast news, they had lots of tips- one of the was waterproof trousers for all the family & use a folsing wheelbarrow instead of a pushchair. A good place to start is the Glastonbury website.
We're taking our 2 who will be 7 up & 20 months! Cant wait!
We Have done Glastonbury in tents before we had our daughter and before we had the Trailer Tent - Have to say I will only go taking the Dandy these days. Some people say its too quiet/lacks atmosphere in the campervan/caravan area - buts thats exactly why I like it! as nobodys falling in or onto you in the night! I am quite happy to have no atmosphere while im having a sleep!
Anyway we are going again this year (all paid for so I knew I had my camper pass) - really looking forward to it - last year was really Great and the weather really helped - It is a bit of a trek up the hill of a night time (to get to the campervan area) but we take everything we need for the day/night down in a trolley so we dont have to return till bed time. yes we always take our wellies waterproof gear but had little need of it last year! We sometimes even took our sleeping bag down when watching a film outside late at night it can get a bit chilly! Maybe see you there Sally?
We take our daughter who is 8 now and a few friends tag along just so they can camp with us. She loves it - I keep asking if she would prefer to stay home but she says she loves the mud! Also I want to take advantage of her free entry all the while we can. Think its going to be another good one this year cant wait.
* just to say Glastonbury does accept trailer tents but alot of festivals dont which is very annoying like The Isle of wight festival.
Broadstairs folk week click here normaly has local school for campers etc
