We've been to camperlands today as they have a sale on........

We are tenters but like the idea of a TT but haven't got a massive budget and we spotted a sunncamp only 12 months old and affordable and after not a great deal of thought we've gone and bought it!!!!!!

Are they any good?Has anyone any tips?

regards

tony

Well done, they are great tt's!!! We have a 350, which is now nearly 8 years old and is still going strong.  It has taken us far and wide over the last few years, even from Scotland to France a couple of times.  They are really spacious tents, the 400se is slightly bigger than ours and we managed to fit 2 adults and 4 kids without much hassle.  Hope you have a great season camping in your new tt.  All the best

Cheers Jane

Got the same model as you we upgraded from a 250 got canvas and poles at a bargain price only tip i'd give you is to make sure tou get the angle of the kitchen roof right or you'll get a puddle if it rains apart from that they are top kiddy value for money units

Those rubber bands all round the base are impossible to replace and sometimes it can be quite a stretch to peg them in - carry a supply of extensions.

We have hade one for about 4 years now and have had great fun.

We did have a problem last year but that was down to me being an idiot.

They are very spacious and we have even had caravan owners looking inside and commenting on how big it was inside.

Hope you have as much fun as we have had

put a waterproof groundsheet down first what ever you do , we made the mistake of just a breathable one in witsun last year , the rain was horrendous we were completly bogged in side the tt , is was a misery , so now i put a full waterproof one down first , then a breathable one on top , and its really cosy , and a lot warmer even when it pours down , happy camping

How do you manage that seeing as most sites only let you use a breathable groundsheet these days?

i was speaking to the owner of the campshop we use and he said that this rule was brought in originally for caravan owners , , the camp sites dont watch you pitch your tent and they dont wa.tch you take it down . so they wouldnt know anyway . they dont expect tent and tt owners not to use waterproof , because most tents are already fitted with a sew in ground sheet ,
