Reading of a members folding camper being ruined by mice reminded me that someone recommended a battery powered sonic repellent.
I'd really like to get one to put in my garage which is in a block in the next street. Can anyone find the thread or tell me where I can buy one please? The one I'm thinking of came from Argos (I think) but I've looked in the book and online and can't find it.
Hi - first post but been lurking around for a while - couldn't resisit this one though - we got our sonic repellant from the local garden centre - it was £20 a couple of years ago and it's been on constantly in the garage, where we now keep our Pennine Fiesta, ever since.
No it runs from the mains but if I recall correctly it does have a range of about 100m so if the garage is noy too far away it might still cover it (and everyone else's in the area). I think they did do a battery operated one but it was a bit more expensive.
Thanks. I have plug in ones in the house - blooming mice love it here, they were building nests and scuttling around inside the walls a couple of years ago. I'm not sure how far the garage is from us but have seen some repellents that have quite a long range although I'd rather have one inside the garage,
I think Robert Dyas do them. They also do a rodent repellant powder called Ratty Rodent Repellant - environmentally friendly and harmless to other mammels. It apparently contains the scent of foxes which makes them think there's a predator nearby so they stay away.
Yes, I could't use sonic ones n the house when we had a hamster. I like the sound of the powder for the garage as it backs onto peoples houses and I wouldn't want to hurt their pets. Don't hink I could use it in the house though - would drive my dogs wild!!
