We too are saving for a Camplet(will we ever get there,who knows)

AS regards the price of extras......£139 for a set of bed slats that can be bought fom Ikea for about £20.
When someone is the sole importer then they have no competition so they can charge what they want.
Eventually they will price themselves out of the market.
All these 'time and petrol deals' are just a gimmick,more often than not you don't need most of them

We were buying a camplet last year before I fell ill. My brother in law gave us his Pennine Fiesta. No comparison - folding campers have the edge. Slightly heavier but well worth it. Everything important is on board. No feet on wet grass to boil the kettle!

12v and 240 V electrics. Loads of storage. Buy new for a few hundred pounds more or bag a second hand bargain for less!

NO going back. Folding campers rock!

PS all well now got the all clear from the big C - Hooray!

To be fair, although you do to a certain extent get what you pay for, whay you pay for in a Camp-Let tends IMO to be style over substance.

They are certainly well built, and that plastic foldey-kitchen thing is neat, but seriously not worth 6 grand. I agree - save the cash and buy a Trigano Odyssee. Or, if you are concerned about canvas quailty, buy a Raclet Moovea.

But in any case, quality is what you make of it. If you look after a Sunncamp properly it will last far longer than a Camp-Let which has been abused.
