Hi everyone,

Does anyone know where I can use my trailer tent as a base and go cycling for a few days/week?

Regards

Richard Snow

Dalby forest, North Pickering for the different cycle routes and a good area to explore, that is if you like hills . There are a few secluded small campsites on farms around that area and I understand there is a campsite in Dalby Forest. The Farm campsite we stayed in was at the top of a hill off the beaton track, only problem they didn't have showers!

Derbyshire dales there are numerous campsites along the Tissington Trail.
This is a disused railway track so not too hilly.

I can highly recommend Rivendale it is literally just off the Tissington trail and a great base to go up and down this and other trails. We went there last year and did some great cycling from Parsley Hay down to Rivendale, lunch and relax, then ride back again to car (not bad with 5 year old and 4 month old in tow!)

The site isn't overly commercial and the camping field is separated from the caravan area. Shop isn't great but pub is fine and staff are friendly. A really good site.
