Lots of snacks always helps to keep them quiet!

Enjoy your tent!

Enjoy yourselves - there is nothing better than fresh air and being outside.  We bought our TT last year and are away this weekend for the 3rd time this year with our 3 - aged 8,3 and 1.  Yes it gets light early and the birds are noisy but hey ho - don't stress yourself too much - variety of different toys and books - have some quality family time.

Forget things like routine.    Let your little ones go to sleep when they are tired, rahter than trying to get them to bed at their normal time.    OK the 1 year old might not be so bad, but a three year old is not going to want to go to be at 7 when he can still hear other kids playing.

Take an assortment of toys so that you can keep them occupied - even have a look around the charity shops for something "new" - especially for the 3 year old.    Mine are now 8 and nearly 11, and we have lots of games etc from charity shops.     That way I am not too bothered if a piece does get lost.
Alice was 21/1 when we started camping, and loved colouring (still does|) so I armed myself with cheap crayons and colouring books from the local bargain store.    That way it didn't matter if a pen had its top left off, got lost etc.    Just had a box of stuff especially for camping.

We went on our first trip in our TT (Trigano Chantilly) with our 1 yr old son and 5.5 year old daughter. We and duaghter have camped previously in an Outwell Hartford XL tent but had never camped with son.

I assume you've sorted things our like travel cot. We managed to get one which fitted on the floor between the two beds. We also bought a baby nitestar sleeping bag (very inexpensive) we just game that extra bit of insulation. Our son sleeps pretty well but he still wok at just after 6:00am most mornings (usually more like 6:30-7:00am) and as we're all pretty close in the TT it did mean someone getting up with him (nothing like a brisk walk with the pushchair at 6:00am!). Other than that though he slept fine.

Toys are a great thing to keep them amused! however he found greater ammusement with the TT kitchen area (our's has shelves for food and crockery which are open). So we had a little battle here.

Not sure whether you're still using a highchair or not but we got hold of a really cheap one from IKEA (about £15 including tray) which you can take to pieces so fits easily in the TT.

We also had a few challenges with him climbing up and down the step to get into the trailer. As he isn't quite walking yet he was bit unstable so we had to keep an eye on him.

One big advantage of the TT is that afternoon sleeps were easier as the TT canvas is thicker than the normal tents and slightly more soundproofed so we could put him to bed and seal things off for a good sleep.

That said everything was great! and we're looking forward to our next trip next weekend (Forest of Dean).

On the other hand we had no problems with daughter (and I don't remember any when she was 3) by that age they understand a bit more so you don't have to watch them too much.
