It is what ever the campsite owner wants it to be! It folds up & is made of fabric, so if need be it is a tent if the site does not take caravans. It can go up (the main unit anyway) without pegs, so can go on hard standing - great when it is muddy. The bottom half is on wheels & is aluminium, the makers plate on mine says made by the Dandy Caravan Company, so it can be a folding caravan if the site does not accept tents. It is in reality a folding camper. Ring the site & find out which is cheapest - usually the tent option, but alas the caravan & motorhome pitches are often more level & sometimes better drained.
