I am sure I saw on here a while back a post from someone who had made a wooden folding backrest for the Combi sofa arrangement. I have hunted and hunted and cannot find it!  Does anyone remember it?

I'd be very grateful!

Hi, glampergranniy sounds like something I could do with for my tortoise. Only had it 6weeks - still enjoying the luxury of the extra space in the car with squidge-able kit in Combi.

I did it! Couldn't find the wooden backrest but managed to fit my backrest poles without the supposedly 'missing' uprights. It didn't need them! 17

I found an old manual on the Combi forum and there was a diagram to show how it linked onto the inside of the trailer frame, easy when you know how!!!

Hi Glamper Granny, I am thinking of getting a Combi Camp unit as I tried the Camplet at the NEC and found it too heavy for me (5'1" weakling)! What's the smallest car able to tow a unit comfortably and safely..

Hi Gladrags,

There are some that can be towed with a big 3 wheel motorbike!  I have a substantial car, a Skoda 1.6 Roomster, and it hardly felt like I was towing when I collected Bluebell, then I caught a glimpse of tarpaulin in the wing mirror and startled myself!!!

It would probably be a good idea to try out a few styles before you settle on the one you want, there are some incredible bargains to be had on eBay if an older type suits best, the new ones are very nice though....!

The main dealer is Siggi Jokumsen. Red Roofs, Chinnor Road. Thame, OX9 3RF http://www.combi-camp.co.uk/ or pop along to the Combi Camp forum for more info on http://combicampers.forumup.org/index.php?mforum=combicampers

Where are you based? There are forumites all over the UK who I am sure would be happy for you to look at their outfits. I'm in Cheshire.

I have had a very good day today sorting Bluebell out. I wanted to get the hosepipe out to check if she was actually waterproof, but Mother Nature did the job for me - it has POURED down. Thankfully, she is waterproof, and it is a dry evening so I should be able to close her dry later on.

Thanks for the offer Henning but I have it sorted now.

I thought I needed 2 upright poles to fit onto the double backrest poles somehow, but I didn't! I downloaded a very old brochure via the Combi Camp forum and a diagram on there showed me how to fit it.
